was filling my fresh water tank today to run some system checks on the pump and cleaning out some things. I forgot about it and ran back to the hose. Water was shooting out of the overflow. I shut it off and opened my low fresh tank drain.

I am hoping that i did not do any damage to the tank or hoses/plumbing and the overflow did its job. I inspected the water pump compartment and shined light down in to the belly (as far as i could see). No signs of water or leaks anywhere.

Any thoughts? Think i am ok?

one edit - i kept the fresh water tank 1/2 full and ran the pump. Went around and opened my faucets one at a time. Water was flowing no issue.

If the pressure was being relieved via the overflow it should be ok.

Agree with above. The overflow did what it was supposed to and the lack of a tight seal at the fill inlet also acted to prevent pressure build up. I think you are fine.

You're OK. Tow it like you stole it.

You dodged a bullet. My son split the tank in his trailer by doing exactly what you did.

Just tell DW you were running a test of the overflow system - act "studious" while making the statement.

Doubt you hurt a thing.
