Hi! We are in Ky and retired. We are more like travelers than campers. There is a fine line in that distinction.. <g>We bought the Passport 4 years ago...to see if we wanted to do this till we went to the retirement home! We are not ready for the 'home' yet. But are ready to upgrade to an Alpine RL3555. We havent owned a fiver before and are a bit anxious but 'how bad can it be'? We will practice in a parking lot! <g> I could become a fulltimer..but spouse needs tera ferma! Thanks for this forum. I hope to help someone and learn a lot!

Owning a 5er is not that bad at all!! Actually, it might be better than a retirement home! Do your homework before you buy and make sure that is what you want for BOTH of you. If we can be of any help to you before or during your possible upgrade to the Alpine RL3555, just post your questions or concerns here. Welcome to the forum.

We aren't becoming full timers. I sure wish we would ....but we will travel extensively and be gone from 'My Old Ky Home' for 3months at a time or so. We have hit every state (except Hawaii) and every province of Canada. BC and Alberta are our favorite areas... We in the US can brag about the Tetons and Rockies, but after spending time in Banff and Jasper area and this trailer is cramped for us and our dog (and a rainy day) ... We need more elbow room. So the rl355 Alpine seemed to fit our esthetic needs and HOPEFULLY the quality too. I have owned several RVs and I believe the trailer is the least desirable. We already owned our SUV so we chose something that the Yukon could tow easily. The Passport had its problems...but they are all adressed now it is is in better than new condition.
We are planning on visiting friends in Fla in Feb...and in May head your way and beyond! I am 'red-eee'. If anyone has feedback on the Keystone Alpine I would really appreciate it.
