start time

I like to make reservations at CG so I know for sure I have a spot, like to

drive 250 to 300 miles a day we have a few CG north east and south that

are in the 250 to 300 mile range, like to be at CG by 2pm setup camp

uncork a bottle of wine by 430pm,eat dinner and if we are moving on

the next day be on the road by830am and do it again.

We seam to always camp 500 miles or more from home and stay at

CG for 1 to 2 weeks , never drive more then 300 miles a day

So I'm a 830am to 2 pm glass of wine at 430pm kind of guy

I like your routine! At my age (and maybe yours??), remembering 3 times of the day is too much let alone what I should be doing at each different time so I've decided that I'd just rather be a "4:30 kind of guy" as well. Much simpler and more enjoyable.

We are never in that much of a hurry to get up. Sometimes don't LEAVE till 11:00. Besides, we don't like wine. Single malt scotch now, that I could do!

We can’t get out of the house that early. Usually sometime after 10am. I make a first run to the trailer to load it up, then come back and get the family. My goal is to get to the CG at checkin time, which is anywhere between noon and three, depending on the place.

Since we have yet to leave one CG for another, I can’t comment on how early we could leave, so we just try to leave right before checkout time – sometimes later if I can drag the trailer to a holding spot while the family gets in some last playtime.

When I get in the truck to leave for vacation, I leave my watch on the nightstand.

Just need to know what day it is, time doesn't matter. Maybe it's because I work with multiple deadlines daily but I don't want to put my family or myself in a "we have to be doing this by" such and such time mindframe. It's all about the journey once the truck starts moving. There are times we have to be somewhere by a specific time and we plan so we leave early enough we don't have to feel we are in a timed event getting there. It's all about the relaxation for us.

When we get to camp, we get out and walk abit & look the place over. Setup at a relaxing pace while enjoying a cool drink. Usually done in about 30-40 minutes but sometimes we take longer if we get to chatting with neighbor campers or just feel like soaking in the sun on the pinic table for a few minutes.

Stress relief is in a 3 way tie with having fun and making memories as our goal.
