wdh needed ?

Just raise that tongue jack up another foot or two, it'll be fine, you" won't even know it's back there!"

If that area is in the path of current weather, I could see someone actually doing this in an attempt to save what is probably everything they own.

How long will that drive train can pull it would be my pool to bet on. That SUV looks comprimised in and of itself much less towing that. Looking at what I can see on the video I'm guessing either the tuonge jack or bottom of the hitch ball is dragging on the road. Doesn't matter to me why they are doing this, financial challenges or lack of common sense, the bottom line is they are endangering the public with their actions IMO. In a follow up video it was stated that they were stopped by the police. They left with 5 citations and no trailer. A tow company was called in to take the trailer in tow.

On a side note, it's good to see you post Brian!

At that width I'd think an escort would be mandatory as well. We can speculate on the 5 charges but I'm not interest enough for a post in what was intended to be humorous

Agreed, wasn't speculating on the charges, my comment was intended to be facetious
It is best to attach a emoticon if using sarcasm or being facetious as our more... let's say "experienced" members (geezers) take this stuff literally. Being butt hurt in a thread that is intended to be humorous is a sad thing.... :devilish:

I would rather take a flat statement (one without prior contexts) at face value I.e. not joking vs assuming it's sarcasm and risk insulting someone by "dismissing" their opinion as a joke or being worthless. It really isn't that big of a deal.

Yeah, I guess I'm just accustomed to another forum I'm on that is pretty much non-stop sarcasm among the long-time members. We're used to each other's wit and It's quite entertaining. Taking the initial post as intending to be humorous, didn't think my comment would inadvertently be taken in a different context

You've made 10 posts in 13 years on this forum so that means your a newbie to us. 🙂

Roger that. As my late uncle that was an auto mechanic used to say, "it's not the age it's the milage." I'm a "high milage" man myself.

No worries, Some folks are like Will Brimely in Cocoon, others like Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button, and most somewhere in between. ;)

On a side note, saw in your sig you ride as well. I restored this Yamaha, "77 XS750 triple, My wife with her bike and my Harley behind it, and both our boys on theirs.
