Good evening I am new to the site I just purchased A New 2022 Keystone Passport SL series 219BH and I have a question. This trailer comes with 14 inch rims. Has anyone ever upgraded to a 15 inch rim? Just thinking it will be easier for the Sewer cleanout if it had 15 inch rims over the 14 inch.

Hello and welcome to the site. I'm not a tire guru but if I am correct changing from a 14 inch rim to a 15 inch rim you will only gain 1/2 inch in height. A bigger issue is travel clearance in your wheel wells and the distance between the tires if it is dual axles. I'm sure someone will be along that can get more in depth.

I think the OP's comment on the sewer connection was about the sewer outlet being too low to drain well. Our previous trailer was that way and I ended up buying a macerator pump to eject the waste water thru the sewer hose.

Thank you for the reply flybouy. My only thing was if I have to fill my Portable Waste Holding Tank . The rv drain is lower then the portable tank. But the macerator pump is pretty neat.

It was easier for me to use the pump than to flip the axles to raise the trailer. It was also convenient if I wanted or needed to I could pump it uphill or a 100' away thru a garden hose. When.the trailer was at home I could use the sewer clean out in the corner of the yard.

Ground clearance is not a function of wheel size but of the tire OD. You can check the data book charts for the different tire sizes you might consider and specifically look at the OD of your current tires vs any new sizes you might consider. You do need to consider the clearance between the tread of tour current setup. The other thinig you MUST consider is the load capacity of the new tires vs the GAWR spec on your certification label. Any new tires MUST be able to provide equal or greater load capacity that your current tires.
