We have a winegard air 360 and a winegard gw1000 router on our 2024 passport 2870. We are getting a Starlink for home and we would like to use for the rv as well. Any ideas or advice about running the ethernet cable from the ceiling mounted router to an external female to female connecter? Recommended parts and connectors? Want to make moving the dish between the house and the rv a bit easier.

Hi,
What is the distance from the home to the RV? I am looking at purchasing the STARLINK Mini as I will use it only in my RV. I noticed with the Mini the WI-FI with it's router is advertised as having a 150ft range. Also, where I live on the I-5 corridor south of Seattle, STARLINK is saturated and you have to get on a waiting list for residential service. Have you checked your area?

We got the standard. The information I found

I believe 150 feet is the range of the router the in side the mini dish housing. It is the distance between the router and your WiFi devices (phone, tv, computer, etc). I am in NH and I purchased the standard because there was a $200 discount in our part of the US. The standard dish router has a longer range and is separate from the dish so it can placed in the best spot for range. I plan on moving my dish from our home to the rv on camping trips. I was told that the “fixed” location for the standard plan can be changed when you reach a camp ground.

I currently have Starlink and use a 25ft cable then run it through my window to the gen3 router/modem. We place the dish in the best location possible depending on the site, though I am thinking of getting a pipe adapter to connect to my ladder in order to help clearance.

Hi all, I don't have starlink but am considering it. What internet speeds you get when traveling?
I don't trust advertised literature.

Thanks,

It’s tricky for me because I run vpn for work so that runs around 10-15mpbs. Unfiltered strictly off the router I run 20-50 mpbs occasionally pushing past. If I use the Starlink app to speed test then I get 200 lol just a tad exaggerated
