solar and inverter wiring troubleshooting

Has anyone had issues with the roof mounted solar connector? I can measure continuity in the wires, 20v from the panel but the solar input on the Victron MMPT only shows 0.7v and the Victron says im not producing solar. I dont understand why.

I assume you are saying that at the end of the wire that plugs into the roof cap you measure 20V, but at the end connected to the MMPT it is .7. There probably is some connectivity but I would first look inside the roof cap to ensure the wire connection didn't come loose. Since it does register a connectivity check would probably show it is connected.

The wires come into the roof cap and there is screw terminal that they connect to.

yes 20v straight out of the solar panel wires. Then I clicked them into the roof top plugs.

As Jay mentioned, I would check the roof port and make sure that the wires are connected inside of it. Has it ever produced solar to the charge controller or is this a new development?

New roof install over the weekend. So just starting to open up a can of worms.

Adding to my confusion is the solar panel red wire + seems to be backwards compared to the roof top port.

Wanna even more confusion? My solar panel wires are green……

Inside the prep the solar wires are green too. I should have double checked polarity from the factory portion. Seems like to be wired backwards from the labels.
Now i have solar input well what i can for 8:30 pm

I’ve seen any number of anomalies when it comes to factory solar. I use a multimeter and verify.
