When my slide won't go out, can I still use propane heat via Icommand? There is a wall vent, two floor vents under the slide that won't move and a floor vent in the bedroom. With the two vents covered by the slide, can I still get heat in the RV? It is getting a little cold and would like to have some heat.

BTW, the fireplace heat does not provide heat in the bedroom. We would like some heat in the bedroom.

Thanks,
Steven

Welcome to the forum :wlcm:

Sorry you’re having troubles so early in ownership. Short answer is yes, but the flow may get restricted enough for the limit switch inside the furnace to shut off the flame/ furnace.

Any idea why your slide won’t move?

Cable broke on second trip. We had no heat and it was 30 degrees out. Camping World of NJ replaced the cable but the alignment on the outside is not flush at the bottom. The tech said that is normal, however, I think the slide may break the cable again.

If so, if it fails again, I would like to have heat in the interim. Thanks for the insight.

I intend to have Camping World of Syracuse look at it the slide when we go up there next summer. They have many techs that can really fix things properly. The tech Dave was awesome when he fixed the on-demand heater which could not be fixed by CW of NJ.

At any rate, Thanks for your input!
