Shore Power

Appreciate everyone's input so it sounds as if I plug the trailer in using only one AC unit on a 115 outlet with only a 15 amp fuse will it function maybe?
thanks
Yes/No/Maybe..... IF that 15 amp outlet is on the side of the garage or is an outside outlet located elsewhere, what else might be plugged into that outlet???? If it's on a circuit with a 15 amp breaker, and anything else is plugged into that "entire circuit" then you share the load between the trailer and EVERYTHING ELSE THAT'S PLUGGED INTO THAT CIRCUIT.... Imagine, if you will, an outlet on the outside wall of the garage. Inside, there's a freezer plugged into an outlet on that same circuit, on the workbench is a power strip that's plugged into an outlet behind the workbench that's also on that same circuit and on that power strip there are a couple of lights and a soldering iron plugged into that same circuit AND, on the other wall, there's a shop vac plugged into an outlet on that same circuit and also, on the vacuum outlet there's also a coffee pot on a desk..... So, when you plug in the trailer to that "15 amp outlet"... You really don't have 15 amps, you have a shared load that's probably already overloaded with other stuff....

LOOK AT THE ENTIRE SITUATION, NOT JUST YOUR TRAILER AND THAT ONE OUTLET......

It probably will function, but you may be reducing the “length of life”. Depending on brand and rated BTUs replacement can approach $1500.00.

The breaker on your rig AC circuit is a 20A. If you used a house outlet with a 20A breaker on it, you'd have a fighting chance of enjoying your rig without too many reset trips. A 15A breaker isn't going to keep you happy.

I simply said it was concerning, not paranoia. I will spare you the trouble of sharing my credentials, knowledge and experience and just wish you all the best in your setup. :)
Well as they say, there is the Right Way, the Wrong Way and then the Redneck Way.

Looks like I will be resolvin gthis as it turns out I gave an available 240 dryer outlet. Just ordered a 30 amp 125 power receptacle for RV to replace the current one. My electrician if I understand it correctly will disconnect one of the legs at the wall and panel. Of course will have a problem running the cable to the trailer with the diameter cable fitting under the door.. Since I am replacing the tile in the laundry room where the outlet is pretty sure if I remove the threshold of the door it will go under so it closes. Thanks for all the opinions and advice.

I currently have my 30A TT at my son's house connected to a 20A garage circuit. He has a chest freezer and some shop tool on same circuit. We can run our AC but that's it. Our water heater runs on propane when we are their or it will trip the circuit. If we need microwave or electric griddle we cut the AC. If he needs to power up the miter saw we turn off the AC. Okay for a temporary set-up. At home I installed a dedicated 30A RV outlet, best decision.

I hav a 21 Alpine 3700FL that I am going to temporarily park on my drive way. Plan on using the 2 AC units and recall reading the standard 110 outlet won't cut it. What changes do I need to make to get the proper amps?
thanks
I had Electrician instal a 30 amp outlet on out side of house. Sounds like you will need 50 amp with 2 AC units

We had an electrician add a 50 amp outlet to our son's house. It was $350. I felt that was reasonable.
As a point of reference I had a 50A dedicated circuit, ped, outlet etc. installed for my RV at a cost of $1900...
