First trip with our new '25 23MLE and running lights wouldn't work. When hitched back up to come home, running lights of course worked, then went out during drive. Going to jumper pins 1 and 3 to see if problem is the camper or the truck. Any other advise to narrow search?

Justt make sure you jumper the correct pins... It's NOT pins 1 and 3. It's pins 3 and 4, which are the ones immediately adjacent to the keyway (indexing slot) on the trailer umbilical. You can use a jumper wire (risky) or better yet, use a fuse, which would blow to protect the wiring if there's a short...

Thanks for the correction, will double check beforehand. And a fuse makes sense. Thank you!

Also check the plug on the camper for dirt, corrosion, and a good connection. Depending on the manufacturer the plug connections can spread apart and cause intermittent lose of connection. A miniature screwdriver can be used to pry them closer together after cleaning the contacts. I use a small circular wire brush made for cleaning the contacts on plugs. After a good cleaning apply dielectric grease to the plug to help reduce further corrosion.

Newer trucks headlights have to be switched to on not auto for running lights to be on during daylight.

That is what I'm saying
Side marker light are only on during daylight with light switch set to park or on. Auto they are off.

Correct, but I always set truck lights on. This seems to be an intermittent issue.

So, yes jumped 3 & 4 with a 15amp and lights lit, so tightened and cleaned all connectors and works fine when connected to truck. Clip pins on umbilical seem rather flimsy compared to previous camper so likely going to replace cable in near future. Thanks for all your help!
