We have 2022 Keystone passport 221BH with the u-shaped dinette. Our previous TT was a Forest River Wolf Pup 16PF also with a u-shaped dinette. We had thought they would both feel the same but have found the much thicker back rests on the Passport make it difficult to sit on the outside of the table. On one occasion we removed the seat back cushions on that side and it was much more comfortable and useable. We have been pondering several options. The first would be to have the cushions re-done as a thinner cushion for the seat backs and to remove the rounded corner pieces (square it off). This could be expensive as we would likely then have to re-upholster everything else as well to match.
A second option that several have posted on facebook groups is to move the table closer to the kitchen. We are considering simply unscrewing the bases and then fastening them 2 inches closer to the kitchen. Wo has done this and how did it turn out? Were there any issues that should be considered before doing this?
Note that we use the table a lot and are not in favour of removing to replace with a sofa or lounger chairs
Thanks
Mike
