Welcome to “camping “! I put that in quotation marks because most of my camping was in tents, sometimes traveling by canoe in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. The tent camping ended after my wife had MAJOR back fusion. We have the exact same TT model and have spent 5-6 weeks at a time in it. This trip is to the SW US for 11 weeks. Started in San Diego then Joshua Tree, Phoenix, now Tucson and Saguaro Ntl Park. We bought a National Park Passport Book and collect the rubber stamp and stickers at each park we stop. This includes Ntl Monuments, Historic Sites, etc. Counted last night and we are up to 161! We started with a larger TT and “upgraded” to this smaller one. Easier to pull, park and maneuver. We lot travel before Memorial weekend and after Labor Day.
Enjoy! The US has a lot to see.

Happy to hear our pick of camper is an excellent choice! We almost started bigger (25MLE), but reading comments on this forum, decided bigger isn't necessarily better - especially if we only have a F-150 truck to pull.
I lived in So Cal for almost 40 years and know the areas your exploring now. Enjoy and don't miss Mesa Verde NP in SW Colorado for a cool experience on your way back home. Durango and Cortez are neat towns to visit as well.

Welcome from the Bayou State!! We have a Cougar 25RDS and its been great once we fixed some minor problems. Mostly camp along the Gulf Coast. Much rather camp than drive!!
