I have always had a problem after retracting the MoRyde Step Above steps, while closing the screen door and outside door. The problem was the steps tended to tip towards the outside of the door frame, making it difficult to close the doors. In the past, I would slide the opening on the screen door, then push the steps inward to latch the screen door, then I could shut the outside door. To fix this, on the steps there is a hole in the frame of the steps, with a threaded 1/4-20 nut, to which I made a piece out of strap metal, bent in the vice to fill the gap between the step frame and door frame, and drilled a hole in it, and put a thumb screw in it to so you can swing it over and tighten it while the steps are down.
