I have just bought our first RV, 2008 Montana, and I’m trying to find what lightbulbs I should have on hand in case one burns out.
I’m having no luck 🙁
Does anyone have this info to help a newbie out?

'On a trailer that vintage, the OEM overhead lights were probably 921 incandescent bulbs. There is a "scare light" (Probably an 8" circular light mounted on the exterior wall) that is probably an 1156/1157 and the clearance lights are probably 194's. Tail/turn signal lights are probably 1157's.

That said, nearly everyone who uses their trailer regularly has already replaced the bulbs with LED's or replaced the entire fixtures with LED fixtures. So, double check your actual light fixtures to see what's in them. Chances are really good that they are no longer incandescent "light bulbs" but are LED's.

On our Passport, all of the interior lights were LED (except the range hood), and all of the exterior lights were incandescent. I switched them all out so they were LED which were brighter and longer lasting.

I used 194 bulbs for the marker/clearance lights, 1156 for the hitch light, and 1157 for the brake/turn lights, all LED.

I have a 2002 Cougar and the light bulb variations are funny. There are two 120V light bulbs in the slide (over kitchen table and recliners) These are strange bulbs and I don't recall their nomenclature but I looked at the bulb and found a couple spares. The lights in the overhead fixtures as 12V small bulbs that push fit into the fixture (2 per). The two outside (round fixtures) and amber light by the stairs are auto type 1156.

Best to take a bulb out and see if it has any marking and if not, post a picture here for suggestions.
