When we 1st got our toyhauler the generator was working like a charm. By boyfriend hooked up the battery backwards at one time and now the generator keeps popping the fuse when we try to start it. When you go to prime it with gas you can hear it but when you press start it pops the fuse. I have been told that the circuit board could need replacing. Any other suggestions:banghead:

I would double check all fuses maybe even change them out making sure you eliminate all possibilities before buying a new board because they are pricey and once you open it you cannot return it. Happened to me I had a guy tell me I needed a new board after he spent most of the day messing with me carb so I bought one come to find out my valves where way out of adjustment and bad gas. I want to say the new board was around $300. Valve adjustment was $200. So I now have a spare if I need one.

I agree recheck all the fuses ,Did you just look at the fuses or test each one,Much cheaper than a circuit board,Just my 2 cents.

I'm not certain if your unit will have one but on mine there are two 40 amp "reverse polarity" fuses in the panel located to the left of the bank of main fuses. Just a thought.

Both 40 amp fuses are good. One had blown and I replaced it. Will double check all fuses. Will not be buying a circuit board anytime soon anyway. We have a good portable generator that is working great for now, but I will want to get the one on the toyhauler going someday. I will look into all suggestions, they are greatly appreciated, thanks to all!!!(tx)
