Well it is difficult to peer over the wheel while trying to reach the pedals when in my truck, but as far as purchasing liquor goes my grey mustache helps hide my age. where's the lounge again?

In my account profile my birthday is incorrect with no way to fix it. It's really no big deal to me however I just want to verify that I am more than 4 in case its important for some other reason.

If you want your birthday updated, send me a PM with the actual date and I will update the system for you. PLEASE, don't just post it in the open forum for "privacy reasons"...

I have no idea where I have a second account, but I always use jfk69 on forums. I’m the original so if the mods can find the other account of mine using this username, they can delete it and make this account the only account. Thanks.

No as it seems to be a permanent decision and I do allow RV Life to know where I am when I move.

It sounds like you gave rv life location permissions and your computer is just “double checking” that your ok with it…will do it every time you sign in i would imagine

I have no idea where or how I would have given RV Life "location permission" not do I know what that might be. I rarely logon (except for forum updates (like this week) or I change computers. I stay logged on all the time. I wasn't repeatedly questioned in the past.

I did reply to the latest query with "Block" and I checked the "Remember this decision". Time will tell if tis was a permanent ban (not what I intended) or not.

oh i was just going by post #66…you said “i do allow RV LIFE to know where i am when i move”…..i took that as in moving locations during a trip

I see where you can toggle on/off to not see a whole Forum, but there is no ability to limit the subforums. For example in the Keystone RV models forum I don't want to see posts under the Toy Hauler section. How do I accomplish that? In the old site we had an option to 'Ignore Forum' and I can't find that anywhere.

Any news on this question?

This selection is just for your browser on this domain, not a selection for the entire RV LIFE suite. You can always change it again by clicking on the location settings in your browser. This is done differently depending on the browser you use.

OK... This is strange. I use the Phillbo screen name on this site. I replied to a thread and the person responded and thanked me by referring to me as a screen name I use on some other sites....... How does this cross up occur?????

How would he know my screen name from other sites and not refer to me using the screen name I use on this site???? Data sharing like that will get me to cancel account on this site and RVlife membership as well.

I had an old "you have been thanked" email from a couple weeks ago that I kept so I could follow the progress of another member's problem. When I clicked on it after the forum beauty sleep, I got a "page not found" error. Not too surprising. But then I went looking for where the private mailbox section had gotten moved, and it seems to have been eliminated entirely. That's truly unfortunate if it means I lost the few dozen messages I was saving in there because they identified parts sources, or had future travel suggestions, or whatever. Am I just not finding the new section, or is it really gone?

EDIT: Never mind, I found it under the envelope icon (Conversations). I checked there, but when it indicated it was empty I passed over it. But apparently it was telling me only that I had no "recent" conversations, whereas all my older ones were still preserved there.

Why has my user name here been replaced with a user name I use on another forum? How do I change it back?

This "update" also used the avatar from that other site. Definitely do not like that. Had to spend some time making a new avatar for here.

My post count here is also from the other forum. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? What gives? Are all the forums owned by RV Life being forced to merge?

Also, my signature is only visible - to me, at least - when I am logged in. I usually only log in if I want to write/post.

This may all be a deal breaker for me.

Edit: Just re-read the thread and found the answer to my concern about forums being (in effect) merged in post #2.

You can merge accounts? Hell, you DID merge accounts. RV Life owns more than a handful of forums. One account across all platforms. BS.

Janet H - - this may be one of the problems you're having on other forums where you THINK you are in one forum but, with a click of the mouse, end up in one you never heard of before.

Too much for me. Scrub any and all of my personal data from this site. I'm gone.

This is even worse than I thought. Just went to my account settings page to start deleting what I could. I checked the "alerts" page - where the forum "alerts" you to reactions/replies to your postings - - - - - and I see a BUNCH of posts listed that I made on OTHER FORUMS. Why bother having a mfg. specific forum if the powers that be mush everything all together. I joined this forum for KEYSTONE specific information - - NOT Grand Design, NOT Dutchman, NOT Jayco - - KEYSTONE.

3rd edit: I did find where to change my user name back to what it was - - close anyways. Someone on the 'truck conversion forum' or 'skoolie forum' or 'fiberglass RV forum' or some other RV Life group probably got mine. Or maybe someone in 'if you grew up in bumpkis somewhere' forum got it. Who knows.

I just wanted to explain what's going on to make sure you all understand why we are doing this. In the past, each forum was it's own set of code and it's own database. That meant we had to keep up 20+ different codebases and database.

The login system had a thing called SSO but that didn't really add much value and caused more work than it was worth. The new system just has a single login which helps make the experience for people better.

The new system will allow people to respond to more things in the RV LIFE ecosystem like reviews, photos or speedtests in our campground directory, at a later date it will allow you to vote/up down trips in our trip gallery and basically make logging in and communicating between members more seamless.

It will also allow us to get more Keystone owners into the conversation. We plan to find ways to encourage more Keystone owners to join the conversation as we will be able to connect their RV LIFE Garage and the right forum to get answers. So if they own a Keystone we can post it here and get more owners engaged.

We will be able to add features and improve the community. The old software was ancient and because of that we froze our investment in building add-ons knowing the day to switch was ahead. Once we get converted and address the various issues and housekeeping tended then we will be looking at improvements for the forums. To be honest, this is really an exciting time for the community as I feel that looking back in some years we will be very proud of the work we have done and a continued vibrant community.
