F-350 Long Bed Turning Radius

I had the BW and now the factory. I’d prefer the BW. The four mounting spots can be a pain on the factory installed hitch. The factory tie downs for a gooseneck is overkill and gets in the way as opposed to the BW that essentially disappears. I had to order the new base and used my BW hitch plate. And the BW gooseneck ball stores upside down in its receiver. The ford factory leaves you with the ball and two hold downs to store for the gooseneck when you want a clean bed.

Thanks, I somehow missed this reply! I was thinking that it might be easier to free up your bed using the puck system, but it sounds like it's not.

Do they weigh about the same?

Thanks, I really appreciate insight! We ended up going with the 350 this time (on order). Our dealer felt it would be hard to get the 450 in a reasonable amount of time and there were some other pros (not turning radius) that helped as well.

You will be glad you went with the Dually 100%, the extra stability is a great bit of peace of mind. Like others have said would not go any other way than the factory puck system with the B&W Companion. It is solid as a rock and easy to install and remove, although it is heavy hitching up is a breeze if you have the app on a phone where you can control the front jacks. Be mindful to back into the trailer as straight as possible with that long bed, there is only a few inches of clearance with the tailgate down on my rig. If you come in crooked it wouldn't be hard to hit the trailer with the tailgate.

we had a tire go flat on our previous dually. Didn't even know or feel it until we were backing in the 5th wheel and were told by our neighbor in the next spot over. Before I was anti-dually but after that I won't pull the 5th wheel without one.

Thanks for chiming in, it feels like some extra safety/headroom is going to be nice.

I just confirmed that the dealer can/will install the puck system for me. I am planning on buying the ford adapter and using my existing head.

I was hoping that would be the result, but hadn't talked to anyone that had it happen IRL. Thanks for sharing.

Literally, hardly know it's back there.
About 9 MPG average pulling.
Only downside is 14-15 mpg when not hooked up.
