New to me; 2022 Avalanche 322 RL
Got in few months ago, and it’s been in barn, plugged to shore power

Yesterday I tried to open slides, large two slides “clicked” but did not operate. They are rack and pinion. Bedroom slide did go out .

I replaced batteries and tried all again, nothing. Not even “click” from relay

I’ve been all over rig, does anyone know where circuit breaker, fuse or relays may be for electric slides? I don’t find in battery compartment, just main circuit fuse. Nor under neath along frame, or in front compartment with hydraulics, inverter, and Brock (giggy) box

Thanks for any clues……Dave

Oh there is also a Lippert Dual motor sync controller, maybe for bed slide which has “swingtech” or for rack and pinion’s also?

The part about acting worse with new batteries sounds hinky. Double-check the batteries. Slides typically will not work with only shore power, they need the battery, to get a massive current rush.

How do u get an open slide in if you deplete the batteries too much? Fire up the genny and wait or is there a manual way of retracting them?

Quite possibly the least complicated way is to pull your truck up to the trailer and jumper its battery in to the trailer circuit long enough for you to get the slide in.

Almost all slides have manual methods for retracting them, but some of them are ludicrously impractical. Mine, for instance, requires you to externally drive the slide motor shaft with a power drill… except that the motor is mounted on the inner outside wall, so as the slide comes in, it pushes you out of reach of the motor.

I found how to disengage motor on bedroom slide to push in

However still all 3 slides inoperable

Is there a fuse, relay, etc that would disable all three from working?

All else in rig good to including self leveling system

I would think that if "All else in rig good to including self leveling system" then the batteries are on. Maybe cycle the switch a couple times to insure a good connection?

I saw somewhere about a fuse in the wire loom that is supported under the slide when out..

It sounds like you have the schwintek slides that are just clicking. There is a reset button on those controllers you mentioned. You can hold the button in until the green light starts to flash then you have to be quick and go to the slide button and once you start these never stop midway as they get unsynced, which is another painful experience. There are lots of video's about the Schwintek slide you can watch.

Ah-ha! 3 Battery cables,
1st ran to 150amp circuit breaker then hydraulic landing gear
2nd ran to huge 250 amp fuse, then battery shut off switch then to inverter
3rd ran to the “Brock” box (giggy box) like a bus bar. Off of this lots of items wire wired in. Some on auto relays. There were also 2 small 15 amp fuses.

I had ignored these small 15 amps, because I was looking for something at least 30 amp. Well I tested each, one showed bad, hard to tell by looking at it.

I put new 15 amp fuse in place and boom! All 3 slides work, both of the big electric rack and pinion and the small bedroom swin tech.

It really is good to work on projects like this to get to know your rig better, happy camper soon!
