Drip edge for slide outs

Hello all, I’m a snowbird staying in Fort Myers until March. Last year we got record amounts of rain in southwest Florida, probably 21out of 31 days. While picking up a pen that I had dropped in the camp side slide of my Passport 2870RL, I noticed the floor was damp. Rain eased up in February so the issue never seemed to get any worse. My trailer was still under warranty so when I returned to Ohio I set up an appointment with the dealer to take care of a few small issues. The techs did their thing but could not find any issue with a leak on that slide.

I told you all of that to ask this: What is the likelihood that rain was running off the sides of the slides and running under the Darco and eventually soaking the floor? That’s my current theory and I’m looking to try to remedy that. I’ve seen where people put skis under the edges but with no drip edge, I feel like it would be the same situation.

Thanks in advance for your time.

I've posted on this prior, as I had the same problem and resolved it. I ALWAYS inspect the seal of my trailer before a trip and usually monthly during the season. Then just because we happened to be sitting right there during a Florida hour long downpour we figured out the problem. Although the windows looked sealed, they were not. The root cause of the problem is/was the hole for the window was oversized "excessively" and the window settled into the hole so the compression type seal didn't overlap the wall enough on the top...it looked sealed but was not.

The quick fix for that trip was good quality electrical tape that I trimmed the top and windows with.

The real fix was removing the windows, placing a shim in to take up about 1/2 the overrides hole and remounting with new sealing.

Since then I have placed different items along the wall on the inside to detect any leaks since 'from the factory' the problem existed.

Looking back it once was detected by I did not put it together. The following are great water detectors:

As they deter mice, but change color and get stained if water touches them.
