My WH-6GEA Dometic water heater burner will light up on propane but will not stay lit. I have checked the conductivity and all seems good. Voltage reading have been good, also. I did replace a bad breaker. The burner runs for about 10 minutes then stops. Only using power from the batteries. Also, I have noticed there is some occassional stray voltage that I can feel when touch the water heater. Passport 229RK22 2023. Do you have some suggestions? Thanks.

Breakers will have no effect on the LP side as it is 12V. If the LP side won’t stay lit, then I would be looking at the igniter/flame sensor or the ignition board. I have seen an unusually high failure rate on those boards.

Thank you for the feedback. I did check the igniter and polished the probe. I will focus on the control board. Is the mild shocks that I feel occassionally a factor with the water heater performance? How does a person track down the source or is it something not to worry about?

Any shock that you get on an RV is something to worry about. Tell us about those "small shocks" that you feel occasionally... Do you mean when you touch a part of the trailer and get shocked, or do you mean when touching the water heater you get shocked, or ????

I have noticed the shock at the water heater. It is not every time. Similar to a 9 v battery on your tongue but on my fingers..
