We are going to stay in Colorado Springs with our 30' TT in June of this year at our favorite KOA. Then we are traveling north to Dubois, WY to stay at another KOA for a couple of days. Google maps shows either I-25 through Casper to 26 or taking I-80 north of Fort Collins to 287 and then 26. Normally when pulling the TT I like to stay on 4-lane when possible even if it takes a little longer and certainly want to take the safest routes.

I was wondering, for folks that have done this, any opinions on these two? Any other things I should consider?

Thank You!

I prefer staying of 80 due to heavy big truck traffic.

Several years ago I traveled I80 from Calif. to Dubois going North from I 80 has some steep hills. Don't remember the roads that I took but going north and then going South when we left where both steep.
We stayed at the KOA in Dubois and those where two of the roads they recomended. If I was to do it again I would try going to Casper first.
Good luck , Therre is some beautiful contry out there.
