I am looking at a 2024 F350 DRW as a potential new tow vehicle. I currently tow with a 2018 F250 and it appears to be the same height ground to the top of the bed rails. Been searching the web attempting to find the published bed measurements. Right now I am not happy with my bed rail clearance. M
y Curt A16 in STD rails is set up as high as it goes and pin box is in the middle setting. Looking to see if the 24 F350 DRW will be the same, better, or worse. Current 5er is a Cougar 316RLS.

EST answer is take a tape measure to your local Ford dealer and measure. Our 2016 Ram 3500 DRW 4x4 was within fractions of an inch to our 2001 Ram 2500 4x4.

We have a Curt A16 on rails in our 2022 F250 and it is set at its highest setting. Our 2024 Cougar pinbox is set at the factory setting (whatever that is) and we have 6”-7” of clearance to our bed rails. At a minimum, I would say that you should be about the same. There was a redesign after 2022, but it was more cosmetic so I doubt anything structurally changed that would alter the height. As noted above, an easy solution is to just go to a Ford dealer and measure one.

I would do that if there was one within 1 1/2 hrs of me. They seem to still be hard to find in my area.

Beware of the F-350 ten-speed transmission… I have heard unflattering stories about it.

Pick a product (any product), research it on the internet and you will find lots of people having issues with that product.

There isn't a manufactured product out there, that doesn't have at least a small percentage of units with issues.

Your statement of "I have heard unflattering stories" doesn't really help anyone unless you back it up with some facts.
Of course as I mentioned, you will find posts on other internet forums from people with problems.
But you never hear from all the owners that didn't have an issue.

The dissatisfaction/failure was enough to generate a class action lawsuit and crush earnings this past quarter. Not to mention a 25% stock price drop…
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire….

There are a number of "class action lawsuits" regarding the Ford 10R80 transmission. That transmission is used in the F150 and a number of other Ford "light duty vehicles" like the Expedition, Navigator, etc. THAT TRANSMISSION IS NOT USED IN THE SUPERDUTY TRUCK LINE.

The Ford SuperDuty truck line uses the 10R140 transmission.

Same "transmission family" but significantly different transmission which is not included in the 10R180 class action "agenda".....

While the 10R140 is not without problems, it is not included in the 10R180 class action lawsuits.

I love class action lawsuits. Very few of them end up benefiting the folks involved (except the law firms) to any great degree.

I recall many years ago one involving some computer software that I had purchased. It never worked as advertised so I un-installed it and forgot about it. About 5 hrs later I get a registered letter informing me of the multi millon dollar settlement. My share was a coupon to purchase the same new released software from the same company for a 50% discount. What a deal!

I usually throw away/ ignore emails about class action suits I could be a part of - because you are correct that the only ones who come out ahead are the lawyers. On the flip side, I got a check in the mail today for $126 from a class action against our state newspaper. I faintly remember reading about the lawsuit, but didn’t remember opting in to anything for it. So, looked at the check, laughed a little, and now need to decide if I want to cash it. I’m thinking I will, because that reimburses me about 6 months of the now cancelled subscription to the worthless rag.

Personally, I think you'll really enjoy towing with that F350 dually after towing with a "single". The stability will noticed, or I should say, ... not noticed because it will be so nice of a ride.

One thing you need to look into... I'm not sure how Ford deals with it ... but some trucks require a 500 mile break-in period before towing anything substantial.

I didn't know about that with my Chevy 3500 diesel when I purchased it, and took off immediately pulling about 10,000 pounds of trailer. Oops. But, it didn't seem to hurt anything. Never had transmission problems and that was 10 years ago.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass that along so you won't make the same Oops I did. Yours might not require that, but still, check it out when you take possession.

Enjoy! You'll love that dually, they are towing beasts!

Conspiracy I would believe. Talk to any qualified mechanic and they should tell you the 10 speed put in the F250-350-450 are generally bullet proof.

I love the 10 speed in my super poopy... Only complaint is it does not like to down shift on long hills and I have to lock out the over drive gears to control exhaust temps with a little more RPM/Air...... no a big inconvenience. My mechanic has nothing bd to say about them and he gets a word on any truck I buy.
