Im in the middle of purchasing a 2017 fusion 371 from a dealer . The rear garage door awning was partially there but inoperable. Just the rear frame part is still attached. .We agreed to pay full price with a pdi. I just received a call asking if I could do with out. What are your thoughts? I never haggled the price down, we love this unit and it has everything we want to a T. We were offered a buy it now price and included he awning being replaced but no pdi, we decided it was best we pay the asking price so a pdi could be performed and the unit could be checked. Does anyone have or can get the Pn for this awning assembly? The price of the unit is around 50k. Am I being difficult or unreasonable asking for it to be replaced. After doing research and trying To understand the reasoning of not wanting to replace it I found this awning which looks really similar TIA

Worth trying to get it included in the deal. This is our first trip 10 yrs ago in the 371 we had. Too hot in SE Louisiana without it open. Great camper but wifey decided to get a conventional 5th wheel after 3-1/2 yrs.

If the awning cost $3300.00 bucks just in parts, I would say $3.5k off the price, or they can fix it at their cost, which I am sure is a lot less. It certainly is not "nit picky" in my eyes. I know it would suck to lose out on the perfect camper, but those kinds of parts are expensive. You just have determine how bad you want it. I can tell you that not having the rear awning for the patio is a deal breaker for me.

Stand firm on the pdi and working awning. You are paying asking price, it’s a dealer that should have everything working and in good repair. If it’s as is where is, run, don’t walk away. They know something they are not telling you?
