What the ??/, it has been in the 70's and 80's here. We have no state income tax and the state sales tax is only 6% with a 1% local option. Come on down and have fun with us here

It won't be enough for us to just wait for the snow to stop falling, it has to melt too. I went by the storage lot yestreday to check on our TT after some heavy snow and high winds and found that they plowed all the snow from the yard into a mountain in front of our space. So our TT is not moving until the mountain melts. I was hoping to at least get the hitch configured on our new TV while the TT was in storage but I can't even back the truck up to it to do that.

Bill, We don't get the lake effect snow that you get, and we only have about 15" on the ground right now. I moved all the snow away from our pole barn and garage doors in the back yard. There's a pile about 6' high, 10' deep and probably 30' wide. That's all from an area roughly 40' x 50'. I'm guessing some of that snow will still be piled there in early May. So, let's hope your pile melts faster than it does up here.

Heck, laidback Oswego is "down in the banana belt" It'll be warm and dry there long before the grass even peeks through up here <wink>

When I hear you mention Oswego I always think Oswego, NY because that's my home town. They've had a good old fashion winter up there with more than 100 inches of snow and counting.
We had an unusually sunny day in SW Michigan today with temps in the 40's and saw a noticble decrease in the depth of the blanket that covers our yard. One day closer to spring!

I've seen other members of the forum refer to Oswego, IL so that was the reason for my comment. We hope take the TT this year when we go visit family there and perhaps stay at the Sunset Cabins campground on the shores of the lake.
I agree with you regarding fishing in that area. You may have been refering to bigger game, but I spent many summers as a kid in Fair Haven, just west of Oswego where you can put a worm in the water and almost immediately pull out a pan fish that you could can barely get your hand around.
Nice to know that other folks appreciate an area that I'm so fond of (during the summer). Enjoy your time there.

The winters near Lake George,NY where getting longer and longer (or so it seems) so the DW & I left on 1/27 and won't be back until middle of March, 8 weeks of pure 70-80 weather. Next year longer.(I hope) But I still love it in the Spring ,Summer and Fall. By the way Enjoy your new RV and happy camping.
