2013 Keystone Hideout 31rbds ISSUES

i cannot BELIEVE how bad this model is. We have had ours for less than 3 months. We just used this for the 3rd time this past week. It rained for the first time in several months in Texas and the trailer is completely totalled. It appears that there is no covering (other than sheetrock) on the top part of the front slide. Water in the lights, the floor, dinette and couch are totally drenched (i could stand underneath them and take a shower drenched). The floor is warped and all i'm getting is flack from both the dealer AND Keystone. No one wants to deal with this and I keep hearing the dealer say to call Keystone and Keystone telling me to call the dealer. Time for a 3 way call!

The dealer should be handling this for you. They need to go to bat for you as an authorized representative of Keystone. Time to find another keystone dealer if you can.

Sorry for your troubles. I would call Keystone customer service and ask them to recommend a different dealer in your area. It will probably help to remain calm (as hard as that may be).
It sounds as if your dealer is not responding as they should to represent your issues and get the approvals from Keystone to diagnose and fix it.
Keystone really can't do anything without a authorized dealer going to bat for you.
Good luck. Steve

Who is your dealer?

And can you post pictures to detail the damage?

The outside roof on the front slide is just sheetrock? I've heard of cutting corners but that seems unbelieveable!

Somebody forgot to install the roofing material on that slide. Get pics of all the damage and beat up the dealer and Keystone until you get resolution!

Thumbs down 2013 Hideout issues

Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, i have multiple pictures of the damage.

Keystone is a complete DEAD END as far as helping resolve this issue. They want to 'repair' it, which will take the dealer a minimum of 30-40 days. (wonderful since our vacation was ruined anyways with this issue). You know, they act like this is normal and keep comparing this issue to a warranty issue with a vehicle. As i keep telling them, it's not the same kind of issue at all.

I wonder what they'd do if they dropped this kind of coin on a brand new RV expecting to avoid potential leak issues like i did. Would they be furious? (I'm being rhetorical). Of course they would, yet they expect the customer (me) to be fine with it.

I now have new trailer that i can't use and that will be 'repaired', i have potential mold issues i'll have to deal with and now get to look forward to wiring, flooring and multiple other issues before i throw up my hands and dump it.

REALLY GLAD to get a quality trailer Keystone - THANKS.

It sounds like Keystone wants to repair your RV and you're pretty much saying you don't want them to repair it because it will take too long and that when they repair it, you don't think they'll do it correctly. Don't know what to suggest since you make it sound as if you're not going to be satisfied with the repair no matter what..... If you're not going to be happy with a repair, then what did you expect Keystone to do that would make you happy?

Tough spot to be in, but I'm sure you'll figure it out
