Here is my TV. 2001 Kenworth T-600, 500hp, 18 speed tranny. Tons of power, tons of torque, tons of braking power, and tons of enjoyment out on the road.

My wife and my girls love it because of all the extra room we have inside, compared to my pickup. My previous trailer was about the same size. I just got tired of towing at or over the limits with my dodge,...and decided to go this route. Just so much smoother and comfortable with that big trailer back there.

Who would've ever thought you could tow a 5th wheel with a Jeep, lol? That's what I'm talkin about. That's called camp wherever you feel like camping.

Tow vehicle
I am towing with a 05 2500 HD 6.0 gas engine. High mileage and I am thinking about the eco boost Ford F-150 for my 10 k pound 5th wheel. Any experience or major concerns? I camp 6to 8 times a year and generally go south (Fla) I can't believe a 6 cyl produces the torque my current 8 cyl does, but Ford says it will do it. Would be nice to have gas saver vehicle when not towing.

You probably won't be able to find an EcoBoots F150 on a dealer lot capable of handling the pin weight of a 10K fifth wheel (probably 1800-2200 lbs). If you're realistically going to try to tow with an F150, you will need to order the heavy duty tow package and the heavy duty payload package. Even with them, it will take some pretty "creative" loading to keep the pin weight down to manageable levels if you've got more than two people in the truck and plan to carry any cargo in the back seat/bed of the pickup.
I just bought a Cougar 27RKS (10K GVW) and traded my F150 for a F250. I couldn't see any way to handle the weight and stay within the safety margins I wanted to maintain.
Don't read between the lines in what I've said, I am a proponent of half ton towing and support it fully. It's just very hard to maintain any safety margins if you're realistically looking at towing a 10K fifth wheel.
