I'm new....joined because plan to be new 5er owner soon. Just can't decide between Copper Canyon, Cougar or Springdale. Do I dare say... Jayco looks pretty darn good to me also? Any thoughts from you experienced owners?

Welcome to the forum. There is no bad word in mentioning any manufacturers trailer, all that this forum wishes to recognize is that you can have good results and bad results from any manufacturers product, it doesn’t matter whose forum I visit the results are the same, some happy campers and some not so happy campers. Well now that you have registered, if you would like to compose a signature you will find a post entitled "Creating a Signature" in the "Forum Technical Support" section, also in the "Announcements" section we have a post on acronym definitions, and you should read through the "Forum Rules" on posting too, again welcome to the forum.

Another vote here for Cougar .... we love ours. It doesn't make much difference what brand you buy. What matters is how the floor-plan fits your way of life. We went to several dealers and shows until we found what suited us and bought our rear kitchen (RK) and have been very happy with it. Spend an afternoon at a dealer and sit for a while in different units ...... Things to consider for us was access while on the road with the slide in. Some brands or models you could not get to the fridge or even the toilet without moving the slide. Think about where you will store your things or counter space. The list goes on .... but it should be your list. Take your time and when you decide ( even if you go for a different brand ) let us know what you get and why. Again .... welcome to the forum. Hank

Ended up with 25.5 RKS Jayco 5th wheel. My wife had many of the same concerns you stated. Loved the rear kichen and access to bath and fridge w/o touching slide. Main reasons for Jayco decision were floor plan, great amount of storage, left over new inventory(therefore great price)apparent quaility and a dealer 2 hours away who gave us one of the best retail experiences we have ever had!

Sorry you didn't go with Keystone but glad you got what YOU wanted. Good luck with your new Jayco and I hope you get many years of enjoyment from it. Maybe you'll consider Keystone for your next trailer, Hank

Hello everyone
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
My wife and i travel with my job quite a bit so i purchased a 2017 Keystone Cougar X-lite. I am currently working in Delta Utah. Its aa pull behind trailer that i pull with my 2023 dodge ram 2500 Bighorn. i would say i am having the same issues as anyone does with trailers but so far aside from a few leaks at the docking station, it has ben pretty manageable. This is our first Travel trailer so we are learning as we go. I am glad i found this forum and that there are great people willing to help out. On behalf of my wife and I, thank you for being a great community. I am looking forward to discussions on issues or just good conversation about where everyone's at.
Safe and happy travels to everyone!

Dumb question... a person from Texas is a Texan. What is a person from Utah called? Just curious.

All are made about the same. There are low, medium, and high end models. Just compare each one to the same one. We have had three campers to date. First was a slide in truck camper Lance. Enjoyed it like being able to tow the boat with the camper. It was just too small. Next was a cougar keystone 29rks 5th wheel very nice easy towing with my f250 king ranch. After a couple of years the layout got old and was a little crowded in kitchen. Newest is out 2021 Montana 3761fl. We love it the front living room is great. The kitchen has plenty of cabinets and room when cooking. Bedroom is nice with a king bed. A bath n a half is nice.
