Bathroom door knob came off

Hey ya’ll, my bathroom door knob just came off from the outside. Can I fix this or just need to replace the knob?

Well depends on how it came off. You should be able to replace with an bath set from any home store.

Anything can be fixed or replaced but maybe post a picture of it

Yeah, I know I can replace, I was more curious about fixing. I’ve not seen a handle like that so I was wondering if anyone else has fixed that one.

We keep the bathroom door open for access when the slide is retracted. Our Bullet caught on the door opener during the last trip. It was/is like the first hyperlink. I heard wood crunch a little before I stopped the slide. Dammit!

A replacement from Lowes/HD may not work, typically those rv bathroom/closet doors aren't as thick as the doors in your home, be sure to take careful measurements before just picking any set.

To Danny's point if replacing check the door thickness and make sure the replacement will work or search for mobile home interior door lockset or passage lock.

Does the existing know not have a set screw or something that locks it on?

I had the door knob in my old 2002 Cougar fall off and replaced it with a residential passageway door lock (actually no lock). The door in my camper is about the same thickness as the doors inside my house. Many of the passageway door lock sets have that long piece in the middle which inserts and turns where it can be snapped off to the appropriate length if memory serves.

Measure the thickness of the door and get a handleset with the backset (part that goes in the door) for the thickness of the door. Some sets have adjustable backsets for different thickness' of doors. Big box store should have what you need.

Thanks y’all

I decided to replace it instead of fix it and in doing that found it was just a ring pop off but still put the new one on, it’s a lot more stable and strong feeling
