So, even though it is snowing HEAVILY today,
Friday my new Goodyear Endurance tires came! My local guy tried but could not get them through his distributor so I ordered them direct from an outfit called "Tire Rack.' They came within two days, delivered right to the ranch. I can't get the trailer out to take to town but I got the new tires
Upgraded from the Rainier's it came with (205x14s) to 215's. Gained speed rating, load rating, and a stiffer sidewall. The Rainier's only have 500 miles on them so will put them on Craig's list to see if anybody wants to use them on a utility trailer and maybe get some of my upgrade money back.
Have a trip planned to the east slope in mid/early April IF winter ever stops here.
Yesterday it got into the high 30's, low 40's so went out and sealed the underside around the tire area so that water can not spray up and in while driving wet roads. Some folks on the list had a problem with water damage because of that and I wanted to be pro-active.
Just like a load of fresh hay for the horses, new tires make a guy feel well-off.
Dogs and Wife and me are READY for spring!
