I have a 2016 F350 SRW Lariat Ultimate SB. Sticker states 3447. My wife has no problem driving it. Two trucks back we had the Dually we named Pia. It was a one and (quickly) done situation. Wife would not drive it and parking in the back 40 got old fast. New parking spaces are hardly made for an F150 any longer. Width and now a long bed also to contend with.

Your spot on with the F350 dually crew cab 14,000 GVWR with 8 foot bed. I have that setup for my Montana RL3120 with 16,000 GVWR. I have 3000 lb pin weight. I have some weight to spare but Cala put me over the siglevaxle rating of 12,500/11,800.

I second his reply. Did an 18,500 mile trip last year with no problem. Biggest issue is looking out for other rigs with big mirrors coming at you on a narrow road... don’t want to slap those mirrors!!

Question: who of you owns an F350 short bed, and do you mind posting your yellow payload sticker?
With Diesel (6.7 if you have it, gas has higher payload, but I want to stick with diesel)
I have a pin weight of 2900. I figure I need 3500 lbs or so to be safe with wife and pups. Help me out if you think that is adequate or not.
And please. Yes I know a Dually is the best for this situation, but I’d rather get a safer truck weight wise in the next 6-8 months that I can afford. Thanks to everyone.

I will assume that your 2,900# pin is loaded, if not 3,400# payload will be short. If you want to stick with a SRW and a near 3,000# pin you might look at a Ram. The Max GVWR on an F350 SRW is 11,200#, while a Ram 3500 SRW can be as high as 12,300#.
Even 3,400# less your stated pin of 2,900# only leaves 500# for DW and Pups, and STUFF. anything else added to your truck will eat into that 500#.

I agree. It’s closer than the 3/4 I currently have. A Dually is still on the table, just don’t know if it’s doable this go round. Maybe Ford will up is GVWR to be inline with the Ram boys?

When did Ford lower it? Our 2016 F-350 SRW is 11,500 for GVWR.
