Batteries not charging from TV
I just recently purchased a used 2015 f350 and yesterday finally got to pick up the trailer. With previous truck the batteries were kept charged while driving. Don't believe it is a problem with the trailer, although it is only 18 degrees and I'm not going to spend a lot of time trouble shooting until we get further south.
Just wondering if Ford did not hook up the 12v out pin on their towing package. I suspect that is likely where the problem is.
Any guesses?

Now I just have to find warmer weather to troubleshoot. Only means above freezing for me, looking forward to that feeling cold!

I bought my truck used so no fuse came with it. A quick stop at a Ford dealer for a fuse enroute on our first camping trip with the rig took care of the problem. Owners manual shows which space it goes then a minute to raise the hood and install.

When we bought the trailer, after having the truck for several months, I noticed the batteries were not charging and I found the relay and fuse for the charging line in a small ziploc bag in the glove box.
Owners manual showed where each should be plugged in.
Part of the tow package, but should have been installed, by the dealer, at post sale make ready.

I figured it out, someone thought that the 12 volt power circuit should not be active when the truck ignition is off.  Saves me from having to install the isolater.

They're correct, quick way to run a truck battery down. With the ?motor not running you are equalizing not charging.
So is it charging the trailer battery while the truck is running.... your original question....

I think all Ford trucks come that way from the factory since around the year 2000. Mine did.

Yep, problem was me just not knowing about a Ford, was a RAM guy until I could not find a 1 ton diesel RAM (used) that fit my bill before we left this winter. Now if it will only give me 300k more trouble free miles!
