Passport GT faucet issue

My bathroom faucet and shower valve have an issue. On the cold side only, turning the valve clockwise turns the water on. Clockwise should shut the water off. Has anyone else run into this?

Try removing the valve stem, turn it 180 degrees and reinstall it. They are 1/4 turn valve stems and if "installed backwards" will "operate backwards"...

I think most of the Bullets and Passports lavatory faucet handles were set up to operate in opposing directions as you mentioned. This is not a defect, just the design of the faucet assembly. John's advice should work if they are 1/4 turn valves. Mine were multiple turn valves that I could never adjust to the proper temperature. My appropriate fix was to replace the acrylic knob faucets with 1/4 turns that had precise water control. Up is off, down is on! Easy peasy!

This was one of the first (and best) mods to my trailer! No more curse words from being sprayed with scolding hot shower water. Or worse, the cold blast when you turn the knob just a fraction of an inch as you rinse the soap out of your hair.

Here's the link to my faucet replacement.
