No, there isn't a built in DVD so that's not it either.
But I do now have a clue as to what the problem may be. Because the satellite guy was doing his best to give me what I needed, he put the receiver inside an adjacent cabinet (there wasn't anywhere to put it so it would be exposed) and added an IR to UHF receiver. Yep, I can stand outside and change music channels that get piped to the outside speakers... but I can't program the radio frequency remote to work the TV. lol. My wife and I joke that, when we were under 30 years old, we could figure out such things. Well, no more. Now when I need to do something (like make my bluetooth phone work with the sync in the Ford truck, I have to find an under 30. Yep, that happened. A couple days lost fighting it, an under 30 programmed the phone-truck in about 60 seconds.
