What's my truck worth?
Yea I know, whatever somebodys willing to pay for it.....anywho, I have really been thinking about upgrading to a '13/'14 F-450. Just need a couple of honest opinions, my truck is an '02 F-250 XLT, SRW, 7.3 PSD, auto trans. with 137,500 miles. I did blow the turbo a couple of years ago so it's got a new one. It's set up for a gooseneck and 5th wheel hitch, has a Pacbrake exhaust retarder (great part). Lots of other stuff, the NADA shows $12,500 if it's in good shape. Anyone sell one like mine lately?

There is a big 7.3L following out there.. My guess is that 12.5k is light, if in good shape otherwise... Try Craigslist? I had a friend pay more than $23k for an excusion 7.3L, 50k miles, in very good shape...

An 02 F250....I'll give you $50. Seriously though, there is a market for the 7.3 and low mileage diesel trucks. Yes, yours is low mileage even with 137k. The problem you'll run into is that banks don't recognize the difference between gas and diesel and they don't like to finance vehicles with over 100k. So even though your 14 yr old 7.3 is just getting broken in, your market of potential buyers is getting small. I would say if you can get anything over 12k you did okay, obviously more is better.

Thanks for the reply's gents, I did look at several of the diesel truck for sale web sites....... man some of those sellers think their trucks are made out of gold. I'm in no hurry, if you ask too much then you it doesn't sell. I'll find the right guy that needs a good hauler.

That's what he did. KBB is what dealers use when setting their price...too high, NADA is what they use to value your trade...too low.
