Need Advice on Pricing

Wanting to sell my Fuzion but can't find good source for asking price. Tried Blue Book but it would only give price on basic unit. My 2012 Fuzion 399 is loaded with many options and BB wouldn't factor any of those in (or at least I couldn't figure out how to.) I am looking at all advertised used units but there is a huge range. Would like to have a reasonable price before I advertise it. Thanks

NADA.com has an RV section that lists options. If you use it, make sure you read the explanation at the top of each model page to make sure you don't count options both with their figures and by selecting it again in the list. The NADA guide provides a "one price" for the trailer "as optioned by the factory" and then gives you the opportunity to add other options to that "standard mix."

Try looking for similar models on RV Trader or Craigslist and use that as a general guide. You might need to expand to a large radius (or even national) get get an exact match. Just like with home pricing, the average price can vary from region to region. If nothing else you'll get an idea of what your competition is asking.

I have bought mostly used RVs for almost 50 years and I will have to admit that I pretty much ignore options when I am looking to buy. The reality is that often I'm not interested in those options but it still may be the model I want. So I'm just saying, from my standpoint, be careful in adding on very many $$ for options. You may price yourself out of a sale. ...just something to think about.

That's exactly what car dealers do when determining trade-in values. Condition is more important then options.

Condition?

That is true but the blue Book \ NADA also do not inquire about the condition. Mine is new, still has the stickers on from from the original sale, much better tires with 12 miles on them. The dealership has someone that appraises for trades but you can't really trust them because they have a conflict so - are there such a thing as independent appraisers ? Thanks everyone.

If you look above at his original post then you will see that he has a 2012 Fuzion 399.

Thanks.
Start with looking at other people selling. Private party especially. Type this into google.com exactly without the quotes:

"site:craigslist.org 2012 Fuzion 399"

Also use the search feature of RVtrader.com to find similar trailers. Look +/- 1 year. Throw away dealers asking high prices - ignore them.

If you know the fuzion line well, search for the next biggest and next smallest trailer.

Add value if the trailer is garage kept or exceptionally clean.

You can also use NADA for RV values - expect "low retail" as a private party starting point. Make sure you do no select options for your trailer that are standard with the Fuzion. Don't expect a huge bump for a well optioned Fuzion.

My guess is that you're looking at mid-40k, maybe high 40k if exceptionally clean and well optioned.
