Outside speakers only "feature"
My 2008 Raptor has a switch inside that allows me to have only the outside speakers turned on. This is counter-intuitive to me. I understand being in the desert alone while partying outside the rig and someone wants to have a conversation inside, however... that seems the less frequent occurrence.
I would think more often you want to turn off the outside speakers so you could watch a movie or tv before bed in the campground. In which case you have the choice of annoying your neighbors OR annoying your neighbors and not hearing it yourself.
Has anyone had experience with this? Is there an easy trick to turn that switch into an "outside speakers off" switch?
Thanks!

Is this part of your stereo or a separate switch? Most have an A, B, C button on the stereo and you can turn on or off any speakers. In my park model I added outdoor speakers so I installed a switch that was inside, outside or both were the choices. If it a separate switch, maybe you can upgrade it.

Trying to remember when we had the 2007 Raptor. It had the Alpine stereo system. The switch for the outside speakers was outside. It was in the passthrough, curb side, upper left hand side near the converter. Think the subwoofer switch was there also.

My 2010 raptor has inside switch outside switch and sub woofer switch. All of your wires are at your orginal switch add another switch put your outside on the new switch. And jumper your stereo signal from old switch to new switch.

I have a 2014 Raptor 412TS, there are blank covers were the switches should be for the Outside, Inside and Sub woofer switches should have been, but no switches!

This is all very helpful. When I get a chance I'll take some pictures once I take it apart and see what's in there. I only have one large dial type switch that has two options on/off and it's labeled "Outside Speakers Only".
Right now I've discovered the outside are on the front speakers so I just fade all the way to back. Just a little annoying.

Solved!!!
So, I dropped the entire receiver box and pulled all the wires down to figure out what my situation was. Noted all the colors and started checking things out. First stop, the Amp in the storage area. Realized that the Amp powered 3 speakers (fat wires probably the sub, other two???) I traced them. They ran up to two switches inverted from the ceiling of the storage area I never would have seen otherwise...
Subwoofer: on/off
Outside Speakers: on/off
Yay!!!
Did I mention this thing has a seriously over the top stereo system. I think you could easily get kicked out of a campground.
