I ran a hot wire to the back of my truck bed and when needed, I velcrow the signal booster to the outside of the tailgate. You might want to use a small circuit breaker. It works fantastic.

Just bought our first TT and I was looking at these systems.

Can anyone tell me what specifically is different about the much less expensive TM55 vs TMG400?

Also if I have sensors on three different trailers will the system recognize each trailer as I hook up the different ones?
We have a V-nose cargo (ATV) trailer, Boat trailer & Travel Trailer

The system has space for 10 tires positions I believe so I think you would select different tire positions for each trailer and it would pick up which ever ones were in range.

I also have several different trailers. I am just going to swap the sensors between the trailers. You just have to make sure you put them in the same position.

X2 that is the way I would do

rschad; the 400c will monitor up to 22 tires

rschad, wowchad; as far as servicing multiple trailers I would suggest to do it like ctp814 is suggesting. Makes it simple, maintain position on the two vehicles so monitor will display correctly

There are threads out there containing comments on various TPMS systems, vendors change their models so after reading posts and ready to make selection I would check latest models from the different manufactures
