Your mod looks good, I'm sure you'll enjoy the new hookup. You might want to find one of the yellow rubber plugs (or something similar) to protect your new connector. If you get mud/dirt in the fitting, it could cause a leak or worse yet, damage the control valve on your grill. There's a lot of dirt/dust/mud being slung around under your RV when being towed. Keeping the inside of that connector clean is important.

Thanks for the tip. I am going to the camper store to buy new hoses and will be looking for the yellow plug. Take care.
