power king tow max st tires
I lost 3 towmax tires in 2 weeks. ST235/80R16s had 12000mi. on them. When removing the others, 2 more had tread separation and were ready to blow. I replaced them with 6 LT235/85R16s. I will try them out this weekend.

Good call. I did the same with mine. Had the dealer install LTs when I took delivery of the fiver. So far, so good. It's reassuring to have a set of real tires under all that weight.

If I had a heavyweight trailer, I'd do the same. However, my trailer runs 14" wheels and there's not a lot out there that'll fit. Not much better in the 15" world, either.

I just recently had the same issues with my Towmax tires that had only 6000 miles on them and I replaced all of them with LT235/85R16's also. Hopefully will get to try them out in two weeks.

That is an ugly looking tire
You look like you have the same rim I have on my Fuzion. If it is, it can handle the 110psi G rated LT tires. I am having very good luck so far with the Sailun brand. http://www.gosailun.com/Tires/Sailun/All%20Position/335
Any tire dealer that can get tires from caroll tire can order them.
Other brands to consider in the G rated tire are GoodYear ($$$$) and Geostar.

I put tire sensors with my new TH because on my previous TT I had damage on blow out. They alerted me in time to slow down without damaging trailer or rim.

Rim is OK, pic just makes it look weird.
As the tread wrapped around the axle it pulled the fuel line to the genny out approx. 8" but didn't cut it. I ran the genny for about an hour last weekend as a test and it ran fine.
Had to push the fuel line back up into the plastic protective case and pull the slack out of it from the front of the camper. Still have about 4 extra inches though...

Whats a good reliable tpms system. I have the Duran system and it is very unreliable. The sensors do not last very long and it is alway's giving me lost sensor signals.

Great question. I'd like some feedback on that as well.

Heli190 & Travis -
If you do a forum search and type in TPMS, you will find numerous posts/threads about this system. You will also find a couple of brands which seem popular amongst the members here along with comments about these models. Do a search and you'll find the answers you've been looking for.

We went to 17.5" GY G114 before our Fuzion's maiden voyage. Left tire is OE 16" Carlisle. Looked into 16" replacements but IMHO 17.5s were the best choice for what our vacation, toys, fun roll down the road on. I have had my share of tire failures on each of our previous RVs. Looking back at the "fun" we had dealing with failed tires, the price for a set of 17.5s was worth the peace of mind.

I had a blowout with the Tow Max which resulted in $4400 in damage. I meticulously maintained these tires with respect to never towing with less than 80PSI in them. I'm switching to LT's once the repairs are complete. My brother's Heartland 5er has the Sailun S637 LT's and after 12K miles, no problems. ST's simply cannot handle the weight of the larger campers...plain and simple.

Not going to let Towmax get off so easy this time, had a blowout this weekend on the middle axle and it really messed it up. Filed a claim with Dynamic Tire Corp for some kind of compensation on the tires and trailer repair. Probably not going to have the ends results that I'm looking for, but we'll see.
You would think with all the trouble they have with these tires the manufacturers would not use them. Just don't know!

Rebel...they are going to deny your claim and accuse you of running them underinflated like they did with my claim.
Good luck and let us know what happens with them...

Junk tires, yet Keystone still buys them!
I also have had problems with the TowMax tires. Two blowouts in the same weekend with roughly $4000 in damage. Trailer was 13 months from purchase date and I'm sure less than 1500 miles at the time. No question in my mind that it was a tire failure, as opposed to the typical "you've overloaded the tires" or "you haven't maintained the proper tire pressure" responses that you get. My loaded trailer weighs 6000 pounds, including the hitch weight!
I've contacted the dealership, Keystone and Dynamic tire. The dealership and Keystone are quick to take zero responsibility, as is Dynamic tire. I am very disappointed with Keystone due to this issue. They should not be installing these crap tires on their trailers!
I'm typically not a fan of suing anyone, unless warrented. I believe this case is and I'll be talking with an attorney.
Signed,
A very unhappy customer..

Suing will be difficult as they are headquartered in Canada. Here are my damage pics from my Blow-Max tire...
