Another newby
2014 Montana 3100 RL. Needed to sanitize the fresh water tank before heading out on maiden voyage. Instructions tell you how much chlorine to use but not how to get it into the tank. Finally used a short piece of hose hooked to the fill port and a funnel. It did work after a fashion but surely there is a better way???

to the forum and to Keystone. Here's hoping you make many great memories with your new RV.
As for getting chlorine bleach into the fresh water tank. Most of us have a short piece of hose and a funnel. We fill the tank partially, then pour the bleach in and continue filling. You don't want to leave the bleach sitting in the fill hose as it will make the plastic hose brittle over time. Always follow the bleach with more water to rinse the hose and protect it from the strong "full strength bleach"

Thanks for the reply. Just seemed that there should be an easier way since everything else about the trailer is basically automatic. By the way, tow vehicle for now is 2001 2500 Dodge w/Cummins HO and six speed. May need to upgrade as the better half doesn't like to drive the stick.
