How do you pop these off without damaging?

Keystone Cougar AC vents... I want to pop them off and inspect the interior... How to pop them off without damage to vent or ceiling?

I had those vents in my camper and got rid of them as they couldn't be shut or the air couldn't be directed. Replaced them with aftermarket that actually can be shut off and rotated for directional flow. Those things pop right out as I recall. How hard they are to pop out depends on how tight they are in the hole. You might want to get some aluminum duct tape and reseal as well while you are at it.

If you get a smooth butter knife or a putty knife under one of the dimples and carefully pry on it, the vent will come off.

They certainly can't be shut, but although they come real stiff out of the factory, we've been successful at breaking them in enough such that they rotate comfortably now.

In another thread, we were just talking about things being "out of stock" in many areas of RV parts, particularly Thetford toilet parts... Just a note, the Thetford vents listed in the above link are posted on the webpage as "Out of Stock"....

I don't think mine were Thetford. It was early, they looked like the style I have. Sometimes things are in stock here and out in the states and vice versa.
We got our own Amazon up here eh.

As I noted, the aftermarket replacements do shut and I like to be able to direct and control air flow a bit. I believe mine are Valterra brand.
