Lost FOB/remote

We lost/misplaced our fob/remote for our 2011 Cougar High Country.

Is it possible to purchase a new one? If so, where?

Thanks in advance!

Keystone used a number of different remote control units from 2010 through 2014. It's almost impossible to determine which one is in your RV. In some years, there were as many as 3 different remote units installed in the same model trailer. As the technology "evolved" things settled down somewhat, but that won't help you with ordering "the right part" the first time. Most parts are not interchangeable from system to system, so you will need to find out exactly what is in your trailer by model and part/serial numbers. Then you can call Lippert customer service (574-537-8900) and they can help you find exactly what you need. You may want to get the information from them and do some "EBay/Amazon shopping" to determine where to get the best price. Often you can find replacement hand held units for 1/3 or 1/2 the OEM price if you shop around.

Here is a link to the LCI remote parts systems. This is "page 2" which is probably where your system is shown. You can go to page 1 if you need to at the bottom of the page.

Take a look at this site. https://www.gamainc.com/?post_type=product

Gama Electronics made all the remote control systems that were on these rigs, and as you scroll through their site, there are quite a few different remotes pictured, so you might be able to locate one that will work. You might even call them to ask. You might need the numbers off the receiver that is normally located on the ceiling in the front storage compartment. For what it's worth, after a couple times using the one that came with our rig, I tossed the remote in a drawer, never to be used again, just found it to be too much of a hassle to use and it burned through batteries much too fast.
