How to winterize washing machine?

It's that time since it was snowing here yesterday. Do I just pump some antifreeze through the lines & cycle it so it pumps out?

I don't have a washing machine or dishwasher in my trailer so I can't answer your question on how to winterize those appliances. I would urge you to dig out the owner's manual for the appliances, read carefully how the manufacturer directs to winterize them. There are metal and some plastic components that can be damaged or corroded by RV antifreeze. Whether those types of materials are exposed to the antifreeze you pump into them is something that the owner's manual covers. There are members who do have the same appliances, but even then, some of them don't winterize, some use air only, some use antifreeze with ethanol some use the expensive brands, so what one member uses may not work for you if you're using a different blend of antifreeze.

I'd follow the manufacturer's advice in the owner's manual.

I don't like using antifreeze for the lines but
so I blow out all the lines with compressed air, and then disconnect and drain the pump
for the washer I do pour 1/2 gal of antifreeze and dial up the spin cycle . let it run for a few minutes so it pumps out the antifreeze, and you are good to go.

You can't make this &%$# up.... I thought I'd look on the 'net and see what people supposedly in the know suggested. What better than The RV Doctor? Uh huh.
Here is what this brain trust suggested:
"The simplest procedure that works best with all washer/dryer combos, is to simply drain all the water from the machine and turn off the water supply at the spigot" No more and no less concerning the motions necessary.

After some looking I found that too, just have to give it a good rinse in the spring.

While I have the anti-freeze flowing into the water lines, I run the washer on COLD wash until I see pink. Then turn it off and open the breaker then reclose it (that way it doesn't start back where it left off). Then I run the washer on HOT wash about the same amount of time. I then reset and restart it for rinse to get the anti freeze in the drain line. That's it!

Every spring I add about a cup and a half of bleach to my fresh water system (fresh tank full, water heater, and all lines). I let it sit for 24 hours then drain and refill with fresh for the next 24 hours then drain again. No pink taste, all possible jerms killed and ready for another season.
