New Alpine on road trip

Hello All,

We traded in our 2010 Laredo 303TG travel trailer on our new 2014 Apline 3495FL in Denver, CO. Our first 5th Wheel. We planned our return trip to Western Washington State to include a 4 day stop in Grand Tetons National Park and a 4 day stop in Yellowstone (West Yellowstone, MT).

It was a bit of a shake-down cruise. Several advertised features in 2013 were removed for 2014 or not available on our model. No hot water ended up being the bypass being set. Two of the entertainment cabinet doors opened during driving so when were setting up it caught on a slide and were destroyed.

Towing the 5th wheel is, of course, much more sure than the travel traiiler but backing it up is taking some getting used to.

The road trip was fantastic. We had a great time and those first issues were handled without too much of a problem.

Since that trip, one of the jacks on level-up system come up with a hydraulic leak. I'm sure it will be covered by warranty.

and congrats on the new Alpine, pulling a 5ver is the only way to go. Sorry to hear about the boo boo's and yes some will be covered under warranty. The level up is sure a nice feature to have, that's for sure. Safe travels in the future and enjoy...
