USB issues
Hello,
Tried searching USB, but nothing appeared in threads or posts. Have a 2019 335CG, and none of the USB plugs seem to work either in the bedroom or the plug tower at the dining table. The green light at the tower blinks when I plug in a cord, yet the device doesn’t charge. The two outlets work fine. Any info?

It may also depend on what you are trying to charge off the USB port. They are VERY low power (6 watts in the RV compared to 40 watts from my plug in wall charger).
The power for the USB ports come from the 12v DC circuit in the RV. If you haven’t checked it yet, I would pull one of the USB outlets and check the incoming voltage and polarity to make sure it’s correct.

Thanks for the replies. I’m parked on power, not using batteries. I’ll get an apple cord.

I use one of these to verify USB outlets:

I’ve had it for over 7 yrs now, works great.

Mine went bad as well, and I added another by the kids' bunks. They were cheap and easy to replace / add.

Just remember, the USB ports run off the 12v DC circuit (batteries) whether you are on shore power or not. If you are connected to shore power just use the wall plug adapter like you would use at home/house.

I have a 2019 315RLS and none of the USB ports put enough power out to recharge any iPhone or iPad, regardless of cord used.
Yes, they will recharge odd devices, like lights and other gadgets but nothing else. I've replaced all of them, as I like the idea of using 12V power when dry camping. Easy to find on Amazon.

maybe they changed something for the 2020 315 rls ..mine has a build date of late 2019..and i use my usb ports to charge two ipads and two iphones every trip.. doesn’t take any longer then at home ..the usb ports in the rear wall, recliners and bedroom…although sometimes as i stated i have to switch up the cords because certain amazon ones don’t work

Ditto on the cords. Some work, others don’t. Will probably try changing one out with some of the recommendations from this thread. Never gave it much thought nor did I consider that it might be the USB outlet as the culprit. Love these forums…

The cords that came with the devices seem to always be too short to plug where we want except in the car, which where they stay. All other cords are typically the long cheap ones bought at the local flea market & as far as I can tell they charge the devices the same as the OEM cords, even the DWs Apple devices.
