I hear you. I got rid of all of my stuff back in about 2003. Put the kids through college, nobody owes anything, they're all professionals. You have to look ahead with these things. You have to be willing to take a loss to gain.
Diesel is now $4.50 a gallon, my truck is sitting, but I'm on paid off property, living off grid. I don't owe anyone anything.
Everyday, I watch politicians and bureaucrats create a reason for a solution that's not even necessary. But, they'll create those reasons. The last 3 years have been a testament to that.

My family had a dealers license for 30 years and frequented the auto auctions here in Illinois. They all announced after katrina that any dealer caught bring in flood cars would get banned.
