Landing gear issue

I have a 2015 Voltage V series and the landing gear will not retract without weight on it. As soon as its connected to the truck or jack stand are put under the frame the landing gear stops. It has a new pump, two new legs and new hydraulic hoses. Any ideas where to look next?

If this is a hydraulic Lippert front LG I would check the Hydac valve for the front LG and I would also do an internal bypass leak test..

If either front LG is leaking internally both will be affected since they are connected in tandem

The hydraulic pump motor draws more amperage when running the pump in reverse to retract the hydraulic jacks, so it might be possible that when weight is still on the jacks, that weight is assisting the pump to retract the jacks, but as soon as the weight is not there and the pump is doing all the work, your auto reseting breaker that feeds the motor may be opening up due to the additional load. I would be checking that breaker and if that is tripping, it probably needs to be replaced, possibly with an 80 amp breaker like what is recommended by Lippert.

for the OP.. Please DEFINE what you mean when you state the LG movement STOPS ..

IS the hydraulic pump still running when the actual movement of the front LG STOPS?

If so then your issue is not electrical

If however the pump does stop then since your RV is a 2015 then locate the OEM 50 amp resettable breaker that has the heavy cable running from right terminal pole on that breaker up to pump solenoid.. REPLACE that breaker with 80 amp one.

Interesting, don’t new hoses come with caps/plugs on the ends?

We arent sure how it got in there but once we cleared it everything works fine.

I've done quite a bit of hyd work over the years and I've watched how people make hoses. As in a lot of things not everyone is as good at it as they should be. As a result I've found debris in a new hose more than once.
