Weather Striping Coming Off

The weather striping around my door and along the non-slide side at the top has come off. The top strip came flying off while I was going down the road! What replaces this? Can I use Flex paint instead of the strips that came on it? What problems if I don't replace it?

If your talking about the plastic strip that covers the screws, it’s easy to replace. It’s called insert molding or screw cover. Comes in 2 widths so just make sure you get the right one. It keeps water off the screws and painting over them may make any future repairs hard to do.

Thanks. A little off topic, how do you get the info below your posts? I'd like to have more detail in my posts!
