Battery life

Anyone have suggestions on how to keep the marine battery from going bad. Mine is 2 years old and whileI stored it inside in winter time in a none heated storage barn the battery doesn’t want to hold a full charge when I brought it home and charged it up. I would pullthe battery but they need it to put it away as it has auto leveling.

What do you do for the battery when in storage? Keep the trailer plugged in? Put the batteries on a tender? If either of the above, do you check the water level and how often? If none of these things done the battery is probably done and needs replacement.

If stored in a cold Michigan barn all winter without a "tender", you'd be fortunate if your batteries lasted two years. While removing the RV batteries during winter storage is a good idea, not using a tender to keep the batteries charged somewhat defeats the purpose. A discharged battery will still freeze and be rendered pretty much worthless.
I'd recommend buying the Stanley 25 amp multi charge rate battery charger: https://www.stanleytools.com/product...e-start/bc25bs
One for the features of this charger is the ability to equalize or recondition the battery and help reverse sulfate build-up on battery plates to improve charging carrying capability and extend battery life. This charger may be able to bring your batteries back to serviceable levels.
Even if you have to buy new batteries this charger is a must for properly storing and keeping batteries well maintained.

If the battery remains connected to the coach thru the winter without a charging source, it will not survive long at all.
As stated by others, get a charger onto it or take it home.
OR replace it every year.

Also If you discharge the battery too far they won't come back, the Marine Batteries are not meant to be discharged like a golf cart battery.
