rain gutters

I have a new keystone retreat and as much as i like it one thing i notice is the rain troughs arent soldered or caulked and the rain comes down through the seams.My question is can i caulk these seams?

yes you can seal them. My rain gutters were leaking just over the outside kitchen. I cleaned the area and put a small bead of silicone making sure not to dam up the gutter.

I would advise not using silicone on the roof or on any other structure on the RV. While it will, for the most part seal the leak at this time, any future repair will be made significantly more difficult if silicone is used. Nothing will stick to it, not even itself. Any silicone that remains on the rain gutter, the adjacent trailer skin or roof will need to be completely cleaned of all silicone before any further work could be done. That removal and cleaning process can be extremely difficult. Dicor, Proflex or Sikaflex sealants are specifically formulated for RV use and although somewhat more expensive than the big box silicone tubes, is much better suited for use on any RV.

There is a recent forum topic on this subject and we just recently discussed the issue in detail and at length. I'd urge you to review that recent topic before using silicone on your RV.
